In late March, Charli XCX also dropped a deluxe version of CRASH, adding four new songs to the original. The new songs include “Selfish Girl,” “How Can I Not Know What I Need Right Now,” “Sorry if I Hurt You” and “What You Think About Me.”
In an Apple Music 1 interview with Zane Lowe, Charli XCX spoke about how although her own failed relationships helped her create CRASH, the record can still be universal.
“I like that with pop music, the listener can apply the meaning to their own life and experience grief or a breakup or love in their own way and apply it to their personal situation,” she says. “When I listen to this album back, I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, this is so specific to me.’”
