Fontaines D.C. have released another new single, “Roman Holiday.” The track comes ahead of their new album Skinty Fia, out April 22 via Partisan Records.
“Skinty Fia” is an Irish phrase that translates to “the damnation of the deer.” The album explores themes of identity and belonging, while the lyrics celebrate the camaraderie the band found in the Irish community.

“Roman Holiday” features frontman Grian Chatten reflecting on moving to London and embracing the city as an Irish person.
“’Roman Holiday’ makes me think of the wide streets of north London in the summer and the urge to discover them at night time,” Chatten says in a press release. “The thrill of being a gang of Irish people in London with a bit of a secret language and my first flat with my girlfriend.”
