Nicki Minaj Sends Warning Shots: ‘Keep My Name Out Ya Mouth’

Don’t come for the Queen.

Nicki Minaj has a message for those who keep bringing up her name. In a series of tweets on Tuesday, the “We Go Up” rapper called out the unnamed individuals who try to insert her into their conversations.

“Would it have bothered u dumb fkng hoes to simply STFD & STFU?!?!!!! BUT NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!” she wrote.

Nicki said she’s done playing nice and from now on, you will only get one version of her. “Many of y’all never experienced a ‘Nicki got her foot on btchs necks’ era & it shows,” she added. “So from this day forth y’all will not get papa bear mommy cuz y’all don’t deserve her. Yall won’t get ‘bout to be preggers Nicki or preggers Nicki. Y’all gon get who y’all begged4.”

She also launched a poll that included a warning: “Keep my / Mtha fkn name / Out ya mthfkn mouth / Ima show u tho.”

It’s unclear who Nicki was referring to, but her name has been recently brought up by rappers including Erica Banks and Rubi Rose. During an interview with the “Big Facts” podcast, Rubi mentioned Nicki when asked how she would feel about being the financial provider in a relationship.

“I don’t want to be the man in the relationship. But I will, I see Nicki Minaj is happy,” she said, suggesting that Nicki makes more money than her husband, Kenneth Petty.

Rose later clarified that she did not intend to insult Nicki. “I didn’t mean in it in a disrespectful way at all,” she commented on The Shade Room. “I was just saying you can be happy with a man who makes less than you. I’ll say Britney Spears next time.”

Earlier in the day, Nicki dropped her new video for “We Go Up” featuring Fivio Foreign. She also warned her fans that her new album could be “significantly” delayed if they don’t “do what needs to be done” with the video.
