Rihanna Reportedly ‘Forced to Cancel Baby Shower’ After A$AP Rocky Arrest

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna were reportedly forced to cancel their baby shower following his arrest this week.

The rapper and his pregnant girlfriend were arriving back from Barbados on Wednesday morning when he was detained by cops at a private terminal at LAX. He was held on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and released after posting $550,000 bail.

According to The Sun, Rihanna was emotional and had been “crying non-stop” after being blindsided by the arrest.

“She’s heavily pregnant and these are very serious accusations, it’s a nightmare scenario for her,” said a source.

As a result, the couple reportedly had to postpone the baby shower for their first child, which was slated to be held hours later on Wednesday night.

“It was meant to be Rihanna’s baby shower in L.A. on Wednesday night but they had to cancel,” added the source. “Rihanna was very, very upset and stressed by Rocky’s arrest. It’s not the best time for her to be on such an emotional rollercoaster.”

Rihanna previously spoke about what she envisioned for her baby shower. “No brunch, no blush tones. And no animal-shaped nothing,” she told Vogue. “I mean it’s lit for a lot of people–I’ve even planned a couple of baby showers like that myself–it’s just not right for me. Personally, I want a party. I want everyone to be plastered and crawling out. And it’s got to be co-ed! Don’t put me on no wicker chair somewhere with gifts at my feet where everyone is staring at me.”

Rocky’s arrest stems from a non-fatal shooting in Hollywood in November 2021. The victim, who was an acquaintance, claimed Rocky fired multiple shots during an argument. He sought medical treatment for a minor injury after one of the bullets grazed his left hand. Following Rocky’s arrest, officers searched his home in connection with the case.

A$AP Bari took to social media to accuse his fellow A$AP Mob member, A$AP Relli, of snitching on Rocky. “This rat ass ni**a told on Rocky,” Bari claimed.
