Falling in love can be scary, especially if you’ve experienced heartbreak in the past. In any case, one must give themselves permission to be vulnerable and open their heart. Jade Novah sings about the rewarding feeling of letting love rule on her new single “Lost in You,” which she co-wrote with her husband Devin Johnson.
“Baby, just close your eyes / Relax your mind / Breathe in and out, yeah / No one will notice / If we focused on each other now / You got me slowly floating high / Your lips can lift up my guard / Man I’m sayin’ / This ain’t a tough spot to be in,” Novah sings on the chorus.
Novah explains to Rated R&B, “‘Lost in You’ is about that moment when you let down your guard and allow yourself the freedom to fall in love. That space where you lose track of time, and nothing else matters but you and your person.”
Johnson shared on Instagram, “This song is beautiful and takes me back to our ‘honeymoon haze’ days where I learned there was strength in my vulnerability.”
“Lost in You” is the follow-up to Novah’s “I Just Wanna Know,” released in 2021. Both songs are expected to appear on her upcoming project, which will follow her 2020 sophomore album, Stages. The album included features from Eric Bellinger (“Newness”) and Jared Brady (“Lost & Found”). In 2018, Novah released her debut album, All Blue.
