The slow-burning tune hears the Toronto, Canada, professing his devotion to a potential partner. While he’s ready to be in a committed relationship, she prefers to keep her options open (“she say love me but she can’t turn down”).
SAFE sings in the first verse: “Well aware, she know herself / Can’t treat her like no one else / I’m seeing it clear, clear as the moon in the summertime / When you gon’ come alive / They might have said it, but I done did it.”
Of his new single, SAFE explains, “This song is about deserving a love that is true and from the soul – a love that embraces our spirit and makes us feel like we’re in paradise.”
“Paradise” appears on a reissued version of his EP, Get Home SAFE, Pt. 1, which was originally released in February. The new EP, out now on Bando Recordings/RCA Records, features “Paradise” as a bonus track.
