In an interview with Collider, Eichner spoke about test audiences’ reception of Bros.
“There just haven’t been many movies, especially many comedies, many romantic comedies that centered around a gay couple. So it’s new for straight people, and it’s new for gay people,” Eichner says. “There’s something about that, and I think really hits people. I’ve been surprised, delighted, but surprised by how moved people are in addition to laughing more.”
Bros will also star Monica Raymund, Jim Rash, Guillermo Diaz, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Symone, Amanda Bearse and more.
Bros comes to theaters Sept. 30. Make sure to check out the trailer below.
