Emerging R&B act Brandon Banks releases his latest song, “Wonderland.”
Starting with a rhythmic guitar, courtesy of Lophiile (Jack Harlow, BTS), the song eventually grows into a masterful production that includes beautifully placed harmonies and great drumming.
Against this background, Banks sings with a soulful tone about balancing oneself and relates it to the nature around them.
“Nostalgia is a sweet wonderland / Where all is good but can’t go back again / Revising my subconscious I depend / Too heavily on luck and happenstance / I remember trenches I was in / I remеmber fades I had to win / The stakеs are high as life and loss again,” sings Bank.
In celebration of the song’s release, Banks released an accompanying visual. Directed by Jacob Bojsza, the video highlights the nature aspect of the record, featuring Banks and a woman in various nature-filled scenes.
One of the best shots included a beautiful snapshot featuring Banks at the river.
Banks first introduced “Wonderland” through an NFT partnership with Sound.xyz. Slightly before this joint venture, he released songs “Tryin’” and “Get On,” the last of which is the first single from his upcoming untitled project.
Two years have passed since Banks last released the EP, Static. The six-track outing included songs like “Pico” and “Lucy.” He released music videos for both.
