Mary J. Blige has announced her Good Morning Gorgeous Tour, her first headlining tour in five years.
Presented by Hologic and powered by Black Promoters Collective, the Good Morning Gorgeous Tour kicks off on Sep. 17 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Subsequent concerts in cities such as Washington, D.C., Chicago, Atlanta, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Cincinnati are also on the itinerary. The tour will end on Oct.29 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul will be joined on the road by Queen Naija and Ella Mai. Both served as special guests on Blige’s inaugural Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit during Mother’s Day weekend.
Naija will be supporting her recent single “Hate Our Love” featuring Big Sean and her debut album Missunderstood, released in 2020.
Mai will promote her sophomore album, Heart On My Sleeve. Blige gave words of wisdom to the Grammy winner on the tail of two songs from the album, including the gold-certified “Not Another Love Song” and “Sink or Swim.”
Tickets for Blige’s Good Morning Gorgeous Tour go on sale this Friday, June 17, at 10 a.m. local time. Pre-sales are happening as well. Get additional details here.
Blige last headed a tour in 2017 when she released her album Strength of a Woman. She co-headlined The Royalty Tour with Nas in 2019, supporting their one-off collaboration “Thriving.”
The R&B diva’s new round of shows comes behind Good Morning Gorgeous, her 14th album that was released in February ahead of her co-headlining Super Bowl LVI. It includes the chart-topping title track, as well as her latest single “Here With Me” featuring Anderson .Paak.
In May, Blige shared a deluxe edition of Good Morning Gorgeous, featuring six additional songs and new appearances from H.E.R., Remy Ma, Moneybagg Yo, Ne-Yo and Fabolous. She enlisted Usher, Fivio Foreign, DJ Khaled and Dave East for the standard version.
This year, Blige has accepted a few accolades. She received the Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards. Then, a week later, she was presented with the Legend Award at the 2022 Clio Music Awards. She also made TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2022 list.
Up next is the 2022 BET Awards. Blige earned three nominations, including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, BET Her Award (“Good Morning Gorgeous”) and Best Actress (Power Book II: Ghost)
