Ne-Yo Releases Video for ‘You Got the Body’

Ne-Yo is on the move. A week after debuting his new song “You Got The Body,” the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter issued its official video. Teyana Taylor, alternatively known as Spike Tey, directed the hypnotic visual.

A few beautifully diverse women are cast as the focal points, commanding every aspect of the pole in varied positions. Ne-Yo is out of sight for the first half, providing no shortage of dance moves as a spotlight hovers him.

He is joined later by his staple of beauties, keeping a calm composure to all the tricks the ladies are breaking out.

“You Got The Body” is the fifth song released from Ne-Yo’s forthcoming album, Self Explanatory, out July 15 via Motown Records.

The 13-track album includes Stay Down with BLEU (formerly known as Yung Bleu) and the Jeremih-assisted “U 2 Luv.” The latter track topped Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for three weeks.

Ne-Yo’s new album includes Don’t Love Me and What If.” The former tune, produced by Mally Mall, debuted at No. 23 on the Adult R&B chart during this tracking week (June 25).

Self Explanatory follows Ne-Yo’s 2018 LP Good Man, which received praise from Rated R&B at year-end. Its title track reached number one on the R&B charts.

In other music-related news, Ne-Yo appeared on the deluxe edition of Mary J. Blige’s Good Morning Gorgeous album. The track, “Running,” was originally a bonus track on the Target edition.

Ne-Yo collaborated again with BLEU earlier this year on a song titled Walk Through Fire.”
