Known for her captivating rap cadence and lyrics, most may not know 1017 Global Records’ own Enchanting has a dazzling singing voice. The Fort Worth, Texas, native showcases her beautiful voice in her latest song, “What I Want” featuring Jacquees.
“What I Want” is an all-around feel-good record. Its production approach enables it to be played at clubs and similar engagements. On the track, produced by A. Archer and Slim Wav, Enchanting tells a story of a night out at the bar and meeting a man she wants to take home.
Even though she initially wanted to just be with him gazing at the stars, she eventually wants more. Jacquees makes a smooth transition into the song, telling his interest exactly what she wants to hear.
“What I Want” arrives with an accompanying video directed by Brittany Bowman Harris. The video brings the lyrics to life perfectly but with an interesting twist.
“What I Want” comes on the heels of Enchanting’s appearance on the deluxe edition of her label’s most recent compilation So Icy Gang: The Reup. She joined label head Gucci Mane on the song “Large Amounts.”
In March, Enchanting explored more of her R&B-centric sound with “Take It Back.”
Jacquees, who just hopped on a remix with K-Major, is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming untitled third album. Executive produced by Future, the follow-up to 2019’s King of R&B is slated to arrive sometime this summer.
Back in May, Jacquees shared the latest taste of the album with the song “Say Yea.” He also appeared on Nick Cannon’s new album The Explicit Tape: Raw & B.
In late 2021, Jacquees dropped the viral “Land of The Free” featuring 2 Chainz. That track followed “Not Jus Anybody” featuring Future, “Bed Friend” with Queen Naija, and “For Me” alongside Vedo.
Also, in the spring of 2021, Jacquees collaborated with Latto for “Freaky As Me” and released his mixtape QueMix 4.
