Kodak Black was arrested for drug possession and trafficking charges flowing a traffic stop in Florida.
The 25-year-old rapper, born Bill Kapri, was booked on two charges of possession of a controlled substance without prescription and trafficking in oxycodone, reports TMZ.
Florida Highway Patrol pulled ice Kodak’s purple Dodge Durango in Ft. Lauderdale on Friday (Jul.15) after noticing the tinted windows appearing to be darker than the legal limit. After discovering the vehicle’s registration had expired and a smell of marijuana, they conducted a search where they found nearly $75,000 in cash and 31 white tablets of oxycodone. He was taken into custody at Broward County Jail.
In January 2021, Kodak Black was pardoned after serving over a year in a Kentucky prison. He was given 46 months sentence for a previous weapons charge after falsifying information on a background form while purchasing firearms at a gun store. Earlier this year, the Pompano Beach rapper released his latest album, Back For Everything.
