Gospel superstar, GRAMMY and Stellar winning, Jonathan McReynolds’ releases new single “Your World”

GRAMMY and multi-Stellar award-winning, Gospel superstar, and hitmaker, Jonathan McReynolds returns with his latest single titled “Your world.”  The single reminds the listener of God’s sovereignty.

Known for bridging the gap between contemporary church music and the music of the past, McReynolds has included African American spiritual texts and the influences of Marvin Gaye.

“Your World” is a spiritual song that anyone can relate to and get lifted with regardless of religious background and/or spirituality.  This song hits at the right time as we hope and pray for a better tomorrow. With the current state of the world, sometimes we need a little reminder to be thankful, grateful, and don’t complain as McReynolds sings, ” If the rocks on the ground can say it /And a sky full of clouds can paint it / Who am I to be here complainin’?…

As he reiterates in the chorus …”This is your world /I’m just living in it / I’m just walking through it /Knowing that you’re with me /This is your world /I’m just living in it / I’m just praying through it/ Knowing that you listen…”

The combination of McReynolds lyrics along with the legendary Gospel Great, Mahalia Jackson, and the modulation, makes for the perfect inspirational, upbeat feel good “you can get through anything” song as Jackson reminds us “He’s got the whole world in his hands /He’s got the whole in his hands.”

Garnering the fellowship and support of various talented musicians and singers such as Lalah Hathaway, Kirk Franklin, Stevie Wonder, H.E.R., Justin Bieber, CeCe Winans, and many more, McReynolds is creating a new standard for what it means to be Christ-led.

McReynold’s last full-length album Make Room debuted #1 on Billboard Gospel. It was undeniably regarded as his best work to date, winning eight Stellar Awards and obtaining two Grammy nominations. In April 2020, Jonathan McReynolds released a transparent, thought-provoking album entitled “People.”

You can catch McReynolds on the 37th Stellar Gospel Music Awards airing this Sunday 8/7/22 on BET. Check your local listings for times.
