R&B group FLO has released a video for their feel-good anthem “Summertime.”
The Saorla Houston-directed visual was filmed vlog style, giving Jorja, Renée and Stella an opportunity to show off their charming personality. Throughout the video, we see FLO in various settings, including an airport, a hotel and a beach. The video totally captures the essence of the sunny season and all the memories created outside.
“Summertime” is lifted from FLO’s debut EP, The Lead, which was released in July. In an interview with Rated R&B, Renée said the song represents “just good vibes, being with your girls and having fun.”
Speaking on the EP, Stella said, “It encapsulates us being together, being strong and getting through anything. I think that’s a good message we like to put out for the people who listen.”
The Lead consists of five tracks, including FLO’s viral single “Cardboard Box,” which was produced by MNEK. “It was like [creating] a happy breakup song. You know you’re going through a situation, but you still wanna feel good about it,” Renée told Rated R&B. At the time of press, the kiss-off anthem has more than 6.8 million streams on Spotify.
Last week, FLO released their live performances of “Cardboard Box” and “Immature” for Vevo DSCVR.
