Tink returns for the second consecutive summer with a new album. Pillow Talk follows last year’s Heat of the Moment. Like her 2021 album, the latest music collection was executive produced by Hitmaka, EMPIRE’s Vice President of A&R.
Pillow Talk features the previously shared “Cater” featuring rap vet 2 Chainz and “Goofy,” a song she co-wrote with Rico Love. Both tracks take us back to different R&B classic songs, from Destiny’s Child’s “Cater 2 U” to 702’s “Get It Together.” Tink also released supporting visuals for each song.
Tink involves other various rap and R&B acts, including Muni Long, Fabolous, Russ, Toosii, Layton Greene and G Herbo.
Tink and Long have an R&B catfight on “Mine,” which takes its harp and additional tidbits from Brandy and Monica‘s Grammy-winning hit “The Boy Is Mine.”
On sparkling “Cum See Me” featuring Toosii, a pining Tink keeps the lights on for her man. The Jon B.-influenced “Switch” finds Tink suspicious about her man’s tryst. She reminds him of her devotion, explaining that she can end the relationship in the blink of an eye.
For the album’s finale, “I Choose Me,” Tink abandons a toxic affair and makes building herself back up afterward a priority.
Tink will promote Pillow Talk at 107.5 WGCI Summer Jam in Hazel Crest, Illinois. Held Sept. 18, the star-studded concert will include performances by Keyshia Cole, Ari Lennox, dvsn and Chlöe. Get more information on tickets for the show and its lineup here.
