Clutch to Celebrate New Record With Free Concert Livestream

Let it never be said that Clutch aren’t a band for the people. These Maryland-based rockers are on the cusp of a North American tour, followed by a stint through Europe — oh and the release of their forthcoming 30+ minute (yet very experimental) effort Sunrise on Slaughter Beach is right around the bend.

We’ve got a lot of Clutch on the horizon and what do they do? They give the masses a free livestream concert from their home turf the day after the new record drops. Earlier today, the band announced that they will be livestreaming the September 17 show at 10 p.m. EST from Hammerjacks. The livestream will be hosted on the band’s YouTube page.

This isn’t the first time Clutch has livestreamed a full concert, but previous efforts were during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Those shows, called “Live from the Doom Saloon” sessions, were ticketed events that grew in scope and production value over time. This is the first time they’re going to be livestreaming an actual, honest to goodness, live rock show while on tour.

Any Clutch is good Clutch, but it’s especially good Clutch when the Clutch is free. If you’ve never seen these guys perform before, you’re in for a treat. If you have, then you already know what to expect. Either way, just kick back with a old one and enjoy some good old fashioned rock and roll. In some way shape or form, you probably earned it.

You can catch Clutch at one of the following dates with Helmet and Quicksand. Tickets are available now.
