In true death metal tongue-twister fashion, Mortuous are streaming a new track, “Metamorphosis,” for your listening pleasure. But the brain-bending and keeping the names straight to empress your friends is worth it if you’re looking for some solid, doomy, death metal goodness.
And is to be expected from this type of news, the track is just the tip of the iceberg and one of the two that have been released so far from their forthcoming album Upon Desolation, out September 16 via Carbonized in the United States and Extremely Rotten Productions in Europe.
You can check that out alongside previously released and wet-corpse-smell drenched “Graveyard Rain” below.
If this slice of heavy, punishing, and dragging dirge isn’t enough for you, you can also catch them on tour with Vermin Womb, God is War, Blood Incantation, and Full of Hell. The tour hits both coasts and the middle of the country and aims to leave desolation in its wake.
