R&B group RSVP (Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V and Pleasure P) is gearing up to release new music. The quartet shared a preview of their upcoming buzz single “Money Everywhere” via a trailer on Instagram.
The dramatic clip shows behind-the-scenes footage of the guys in the studio recording the song and on set of their music video.
Based on the snippet, “Money Everywhere” was made for steamy moments in the bedroom. “Girl let’s turn this bedroom to a strip club / There’s money everywhere,” Pleasure P sings. A release date for “Money Everywhere” has not been announced at this time.
According to an Instagram post from Sammie, “Money Everywhere” will appear on RSVP’s upcoming album.
Ray J wrote on Instagram, “It’s really official @officialrsvp God is sooo good!! me @bobbyvshow @sammiealways @pleasurep @bobbyvshow came together and actually worked through our issues and even tho we always arguing with each other we became friends and now we are so honest and real with each other it’s magical.”
He added, “I always say now that we are like the bobsled team on cool runnings movie. – started rough but the ending was so rewarding and inspiring! We are now getting ready to release the first record to the world – we invested in the project ourselves we no label support yet [because] we believe in us and all the other underdogs who won’t give up until we win!!”
The four R&B singers formed RSVP following their participation in a bonus match at Mario and Omarion’s Verzuz celebration in June. The bonus match was among the night’s highlights, inspiring many memes and viral clips.
In July, Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V and Pleasure P revealed that they were forming an R&B group. In an Instagram post, they hinted at possible future projects. “A lot in store…Tv Shows? Albums?” they captioned.
Outside of the group, the guys have kept busy. Ray recently started in BET’s reality series College Hill: Celebrity Edition, alongside Nene Leakes, Lamar Odom, Big Freedia, Stacey Dash, DreamDoll, India Love and Slim Thug.
In September 2020, he released “Hurt You” as a song from his upcoming album, Raydiation X. The project will feature re-recorded vocals from his album Raydiation, plus new tracks. “What we did with the Raydiation album fifteen years ago was epic, and I’m ready to do it all again,” Ray J said.
Sammie wrapped up his co-headlining Vibe on Vibes Tour with Eric Bellinger earlier this spring. In August 2021, he released an inspirational project titled 333. “I pray that this makes you proud and I pray it brings some solace to you, for I know you’ve always prayed to Him that me, your grandson would not gain the world only to lose my soul,” said Sammie.
In June, Bobby V released a song titled “Cookie.” It marked his first song of 2022. Last year, he covered The Beatles’ 1969 classic “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” and dropped an original track called “Reply.” The song was tied to his project, Appetizer, which doesn’t have a release date at this time.
As for Pleasure P, he released an album Business Before Pleasure in October 2021. The 10-track LP featured appearances from Troy Ave, Popeye Caution, Shifta, and Amara La Negra.
