Things have been looking up for The Callous Daoboys following the release of their sophomore studio album Celebrity Therapist, which dropped on September 2. They’ve become critical darlings, just finished a killer tour with MNRK Heavy labelmates Rolo Tomassi, and just recently learned they’re ravaging the Billboard charts.
So in an effort to ride that wave of good fortune, the Atlanta, Georgia-based mathcore septet are taking their show on the road once again, albeit in much more familiar territory.
Starting October 21 in West Palm, Florida, The Callous Daoboys will embark on a six-date romp through the southeastern part of the U.S. Their latest stint on the road will eventually end up with an appearance at The Fest in Gainesville, Florida on October 30. You can check out the dates below.
The band’s latest slate of dates were announced just a few days after learning that the first week of sales for Celebrity Therapist landed the band at the #6 position on the Billboard Top New Artists chart. But the accolades didn’t stop there. The Callous Daoboys also ended up #10 on the Current Hard Music Albums chart, #15 on the Current Indie Label Albums chart, and #28 on the Current Rock Albums chart.
In a press release following the announcement that they’d charted so high on Billboard, the band said the following:
“It’s a surreal experience to see the album that we created charting on Billboard. We were always hopeful this would happen, but actually seeing it is a different experience. Thank you for an incredible first week!”
It’s unsurprising that these guys are killing it right now. Their music is absolutely killer. The Callous Daoboys will be on tour next month. Check the following dates to see when they’ll be destroying a venue near you.
