Brent Faiyaz has rolled out the official video for his recent single “All Mine.”
The black-and-white video, directed by Lone Wolf and Mark Peaced, features a forgotten love interest (portrayed by supermodel Joan Smalls) at a fancy restaurant, waiting across the table for her plus one to arrive. And who’s her extremely late guest? Faiyaz that is.
She is there for quite a while, having to make small talk with the waiter, who returns to the table multiple times, only to find her still alone.
At a different bistro, she finally meets up with an unserious Faiyaz, who could care less how insensitive he had been to her time. You’ll have to watch how it ends.
“All Mine” is Faiyaz’s current radio single from Wasteland. The self-produced song is well on its way to reaching the top five of urban radio after entering the top ten of the format earlier this month.
It returned Faiyaz to urban radio’s top ten for the second time as a lead artist and first as a solo act. His previous one was “Wasting Time,” featuring Drake, also part of Wasteland.
A series of singles that began with “Dead Man Walking” in September 2020 preceded Wasteland, released on July 8 via his imprint Lost Kids.
It entered the Billboard 200 at No. 2 and topped Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart with 88,000 equivalent units sold. It marked his largest first-week sales and his first album to start inside the top ten domain of the main albums chart.
Since Wasteland, Faiyaz has shared a music video for “Loose Change.” It, too, was shot in black-and-white and directed by Wolf and Peaced.
Faiyaz guested on Alicia Keys’ new album KEYS II for the new song “Trillions,” which is doing reasonably well on the R&B charts, including Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. A music video was shot and released for the collaboration.
