The Holidays Will Always Be in Season with The Black Dahlia Murder’s Yule ‘Em All: A Holiday Variety Extravaganza

We’re more than two months away from that magical time of year when people get and give cool shit for each other, eat a crazy amount of carbs, and get way too inebriated to celebrate yet another revolution around the sun. And while we haven’t even gotten to celebrate Samhain, we’re already in the holiday spirit thanks to the announcement that The Black Dahlia Murder’s Yule ‘Em All: A Holiday Variety Extravaganza will be in our hands as soon as next month.

Hosted by the immortal Neil Hamburger, Yule ‘Em All is a DVD/live album that was recorded on Friday, December 18, 2020. In addition to live performances of classic TBDM tracks, the variety show features a number of comedic skits and even a guest appearance by the most lovable man in death metal, George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher.

Fans were originally supposed to get their hands on this release back in July, but was delayed due to the sudden and tragic passing of the universally beloved TBDM frontman Trevor Strnad.

Fans can expect to get their hands on this joyous package of holiday cheer this November 11, as either a digital download, a streaming video, or on DVD. Preorders are currently available via Metal Blade.

The Black Dahlia Murder recently announced that they were going to continue with the band despite Trevor’s passing. Founding guitarist Brian Eschbach will take up Trevor’s mantle in the band, while former guitarist Ryan Knight will fill the vacancy created when Brian moved to vocals.

That new lineup also announced that there will be a tribute show in honor of Trevor Strnad held at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit on October 28 at Saint Andrew’s Hall. It will be their first show as a unit since Trevor’s death. Both Darkest Hour and Plague Years.
