Bryson Tiller has unveiled the official music video for his latest single “Outside.”
Directed by Edgar Esteves, the video features views of Tiller enclosed by bountiful Black women in nocturnal and saintly scenes.
It spots Tiller speaking softly in the ear of one beauty, an apparent reference to the video for Ying Yang Twins’ “Wait (The Whisper Song).”
Not only does Tiller pay respect to the rap duo’s iconic 2005 visual, but he also enlists Ying Yang Twins for a cameo.
Tiller released “Outside,” which samples “Wait (The Whisper Song),” on Sept. 8 on RCA Records.
Speaking on his new single, Tiller said, “‘Outside’ is the polar opposite of what everyone is used to hearing from me. Normally we would release a song intended to put people deep in their feelings, but this song is ANTI-FEELS.”
On Spotify, “Outside” has exceeded more than 7.7 million streams, marking the sixth most-played song under his profile on the platform.
The Vinylz-produced track was rolled out as the lead single from Tiller’s upcoming album. It will follow his 2020’s A N N I V E R S A R Y, which he later upgraded to a deluxe version in the subsequent months.
His expanded edition of A N N I V E R S A R Y included five additional songs, including the Big Sean-assisted “Still Yours” and “7:00.”
Most recently, Tiller secured a top ten single on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for “Gotta Move On,” a breakup anthem led by Sean “Diddy” Combs.
It was released in June and performed at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, which Diddy hosted, and the 2022 BET Awards during Diddy’s Lifetime Achievement Award celebration.
Diddy shared a handful of remixes for his comeback single, one of which was dubbed the “Queens Remix.” It features spicy verses from Ashanti and Yung Miami of City Girls. It, too, has a supporting music video.
