BabyFace “Girls Night Out” is a no-skip, straight-up no-chaser album

From the album’s cover creative infusion of vibrant stylistic urban graffiti artwork designed by Brooklyn artist Ricky (“Rico”) Heeraman,  Babyface’s new project “Girls Night Out” is a spectacular assemblage of vocals and introspective personal stories from the female artists that are featured on the album.

The “Girls Night Out” music Icon Babyface has delivered a collective decorative array of powerful, mature, and relevant subject matters as he collaborates alongside some of R&B’s newest chart-topping female artists such as Ella Mai, Ari Lennox, Queen Naija, Sevyn Streeter, Amaarae, Muni Long, Kehlani, Tiana Major9, Coco Jones,  including hip-hop/R&B  artists Tink, rappers Baby Tate, Doechii, and Zimbabwean-born Australian singer-songwriter and rapper Tkay Maidza.

The 13-track project intro is delivered by  New York multi-media powerhouse, Angie Martinez and actress and former MTV VJ LaLa, setting the tone for the album as it pours right into track two with “Liquor” (Ari Lennox). “…Two shot of liquor, no chaser, no rocks, no blend, straight up, just you/ two shots of liquor uh uh/I need 100 from my man her can’t be 80 proof/ When he ask me to throw it back/ I tell him absolutely, uh uh…” Let’s get the log on the fire let the games begin playas double shots she wants her money and the relationship here way and she makes it plain. It’s an entanglement when that “lick” gets up on top of you, it’s a fire starter, temperature riser which can put you in the red zone baby.

Flowing nicely into  “Seamless” (Kehlani) track three is a no-holds-barred “read me” song with lyrics that express her man’s displeasure in the way she acts when she’s liquored up. Track four is the lead from the album and this summer’s smash single “Keeps On Fallin” (Ella Mai) has definite classic Babyface with a modern R&B vibe and one of our favorites along with Queen Naija and Babyface making sweet harmonies together on track five “Game Over,” and track six “Simple” featuring (Coco Jones).

Track 7 “Say Less”  finds Tiana Major9 putting her man on notice to get focused on her” ...stop texting his emotions and put that **it in motion…, “I think I need you to say less to me/less to me/ **ck all that talkin’/ I need you to do more for me/more for me/Just like I want it…” Track 8 (Tink) has the classic Babyface “Whip appeal” flavor.

“Don’t Even Think About it”track 9 with Baby Tate hitting all the notes perfectly in this upbeat tempo song lays the law on how the relationship is going to work, period.  Slipping into  track 10 The Recipe” Muni Long is focused on her paper and has no time for fussing and fighting as she’s giving the recipe to keeping her happy in the relationship  singing  “as soon as I get home/las soon as I get home/ light me some candles/ take a sip and take it nice and slow…”

“One Good Thing” track 11 with Amaarae gives us Caribean island vibes with a banging back beat as you dream up against tropical feelings with steel drums setting the mood on this lovely track. Sevyn Streeter and Tkay Maidza want to upgrade their love interests on track 12 “G Wagon” letting them know life can be better life on their side “I’m tryna take you out that jeep /and put you in a G Wagon /Take you out that fashionova put you in high fashion/Do the things for you your girl can’t do cause she lacking…” It’s a definite bop with a very catchy tune.

Rounding out the album with “Girls Night Out” track 13  with Doechii is a real bouncy dance track that gives toasts her exes, being single, and loving the single life. This track will have you up on the dance floor for sure.

The legend, multi-award-winning, uber-talented mega-star Babyface has once again hit the mark with this highly anticipated album and proves he is a phenomenal music genius perched up high.
