Rising singer Kaash Paige has released her new single “Doubted Me.” It was produced by Childish Major and Sonic Major.
The slinky, boastful tune finds Paige shaking off the envious noise of foes who insist she’ll not be one of the hottest in the game.
Fortunately, those close to her are what matter, and she keeps her sights on them and what next she can accomplish for herself.
Paige sings in the chorus: “They doubted me, I’ma be the biggest thing they ever seen / See my name in flashin’ lights and cover magazines / Do it for the real ones and I do this for my team / They want me to fall off so bad, so bad / I don’t know what drugs you had.”
“Doubted Me” arrives with an official music video. It features rare footage from Paige’s childhood to where she’s currently at in her career. Beat-Clawzit Workz edited the visual.
Paige’s new single “Doubted Me” is the third offering from her upcoming project, The Fall Off, which arrives in November via Def Jam. It will follow her 2020 debut album, Teenage Fever, and the EP Parked Car Convos, released in 2019.
During a Twitter Spaces with Rated R&B earlier this month, Paige explained the creative process behind The Fall Off.
“I would say the process behind it was kind of just allowing myself to be free and create whatever I wanted to create. I felt as if with Parked Car Convos, I had a theme behind it because that was around the time when I was just chilling in the car with my homies smoking weed, getting outta high school and just trying to figure out what I really wanted to do.”
She added, “I felt like with Teenage Fever, that was me living in LA being 19, living my last teenage years. I feel like with [The Fall Off], I don’t wanna put a theme on anything — just allow myself to flow through whatever, make anything and if it sounds good, just add it.”
Paige confirmed her two recent singles, “Miss My Dawgs” featuring 6LACK and “24 Hrs” with Lil Tjay, will be part of The Fall Off. Music videos for both tracks were issued.
