Rest peacefully.
To commemorate the two year anniversary of his Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath Of God, Busta Rhymes revisits the LP with its unreleased video featuring Mary J. Blige.
Directed by Colin Tilley and Busta Rhymes, the visual depicts Busta growing up and living an ordinary life from his days in school to working a regular job.
“Sometimes I pause when I breathe, reflect on what I was / How far I’ve come and I rep it and do it just because,” raps an elderly Bus, while his guardian angel, Mary, brings her uplifting and angelic vocals. “Once I was built, God broke the mold / No matter how many clones you make, they can’t touch my throne,” she sings from the pews of a church.
Busta Rhymes released his E.L.E. 2 back in 2020, which features 30 tracks including collaborations with Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, The Flipmode Squad, Andersson.Paak, Q-Tip, Mariah Carey, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and many others.
Last week, Busta released his brand new single, “Slap” featuring Conway The Machine and Big Daddy Kane.
