Singer and songwriter Tone Stith has returned with his new single “B.E.D,” produced by The Audibles.
The first thing that hits you are Stith’s soft, sensual falsetto at the onset of the pillow-biting offering. Stith describes himself as a man with raging hormones, as he sings about piping down a thick beauty, giving her sexual autonomy to explore her wildest dreams in his sheets.
“Ain’t nobody ever see this side of you / You can make it nasty like a prostitute / Say you gonna do it and you follow through / Right now, I know that you ready,” Stith sings.
“B.E.D” is Stith’s first solo single this year, following his last EP, Still FWM. Released Oct. 15, 2021, the seven-song effort featured appearances from Chris Brown (“Do I Ever”), Maeta (“Something In The Water“) and Kenneth Paige (“Perfect Ten”). It also included the focus track “I Don’t Wanna.”
Still FWM served as the sequel to Stith’s FWM EP, which arrived earlier that same year. H.E.R., Kiana Ledé and Lonr. were among the acts featured on the nine-song set.
“This is a new introduction,” Stith explained to Rated R&B about FWM. “For the people that have heard it, this is a re-introduction. This is different than what I’ve done before. For the new people, now is the time to f*ck with me. Now is the time to get on the train because we’re about to take off and we’re going to keep going. After this project, we plan to release several more. The next few years is just going to be a whole ton of music coming out.”
Stith, who appears on Samaria’s new EP, is currently on his headlining Set The Tone Tour. It will conclude Dec. 4 at The New Parish in Oakland, California.
