Atheist Return to Streaming Platforms with Plans for “Big Things” Next Year

After being absent from popular streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify for a while now, Florida death metal band Atheist have brought all four of their studio releases, as well as their live album Unquestionable Presence: Live at Wacken to the services.

The inclusion of Atheist’s catalog to those streaming services is thanks to their label, Nuclear Blast, which has taken efforts in recent months to restore some of their clients’ online presence. According to Nuclear Blast, this is the first step in a two-part approach to reissue past music. First comes getting the albums back online, then comes their campaign for a laundry list of physical reissues in the future.

Atheist frontman Kelly Shaefer said this was the perfect time to get into the band, since they seem to have a lot in the works for next year.

“Well, it is finally time for Atheist to return to the land of streaming, and we couldn’t be more excited to have our stream pour from the mouth of the largest metal river on earth, Nuclear Blast! There is no better place to land as a band than Nuclear Blast, and we are so excited to start this new chapter with this iconic label. Enjoy our entire catalog of music at your convenience on all your favorite streaming services. Big things ahead for 2023!! Thank you for over 30 years of support for Atheist!”

If you’re chomping at the bit to try and get your online streaming fix of Atheist, Nuclear Blast set up a convenient page to link you to whichever service you want to use, whether that’s Spotify, YouTube Music, or even Tidal.
