Singer and songwriter Vedo has released his sixth album, Mood Swings, the follow-up to 2021’s 1320.
Throughout the 13-track set, Vedo bares it all, leading listeners to understand the significance of its title.
He opens the bedroom door of Mood Swings with “Waterfalls” before transitioning to a traditional feel-good highlight on “You and Me,” co-produced by Troy Taylor, ChiChi and Fridayy.
As Vedo explores the notions of love, lovemaking, moving on and more, no song sounds the same on Mood Swings.
“This is my first album where I actually had a team of writers come in and assist me with this project and we all got the chance to really learn from each other. But the music speaks for itself, and we just want you to feel…whatever the emotion or mood is,” Vedo said of the album’s creative process.
Mood Swings includes the lead single “Forever,” produced by Needlz. The single has accumulated almost 946,000 streams on Spotify since releasing Nov. 18, 2022.
He performed “Forever” at the 2022 Soul Train Awards red carpet special.
Mood Swings includes features from Chris Brown and Tink.
Brown appears on Vedo’s latest focus track, “Do You Mind,” where the two R&B playboys serenade their respective ladies. Tink appears on “Somebody,” where the two trade verses on what they are looking for in a partner.
Portraying various emotions in each track, Vedo shows all sides of himself on Mood Swings, making it clear that with his inclusion, R&B is still in good hands.
Mood Swings aside, Vedo is featured on Tank’s final album, R&B Money, which released in August 2022. In the same month, Vedo and producer OG Parker released a joint EP, While You Wait.
