Say hello to the good guy.
Macklemore kicks off his 2023 with his valorous anthem, “Heroes”.
Co-directed by himself and Jake Magraw, the black-and-white video follows the Seattle rapper throughout the gritty streets of New York City while delivering his fearless raps.
“When I grew up, criminal are my heroes, raps Macklemore over Budo’s production and Preemo on both the hook and the 1s and 2s. “The beanie from New Jersey drive over my earlobes / From jump, it was always fuck cops and the bureau / Mixing Casper, Herald Hunton and De Niro.”
“Heroes” follow’s last year’s Tones And I-assisted “I Chant“, “Maniac” featuring Windser, and “Faithful” with NLE Choppa. Macklemore’s prepping the release of his next album, Ben, due March 3.
