Bradd Marquis Releases New Single “BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND” A Sam Cooke Classic

The multi-talented artist Bradd Marquis latest release is a dazzling rendition of the classic “Blowin In The Wind” which was originally written by the one-and-only Bob Dylan, and performed by the iconic Sam Cooke.

Sam thought this song spoke so closely to the conditions of Black America during the civil rights movement that it should have been written by a black man. Sam did the next best thing; he covered it,” mentions Bradd Marquis. “Unfortunately, the message of this song still resonates to this day,” he adds.

Bradd Marquis’ soul-stirring rendition of “Blowin In The Wind” reaches deep within one’s conscience awareness as he powerfully fuses gospel, R&B, and soul.  While convincingly delivering the lyrics in a moving, toe-tapping, upbeat theatrical tempo, Marquis’ voice transports us back in time as he sings,

…Yes, and how many times must a man look up/Before he can see the sky?/And how many ears must one man have/Before he can hear people cry?/Yes, and how many deaths will it take ’til he knows/That too many people have died?/ The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind/The answer is blowin’ in the wind.”

Now take some time and let the words and message of this song resonate with you.

Bradd  Marquis is a veteran performer and singer who has shared stages and toured with Tank, Stokely of Mint ConditionEric RobersonAngie StoneFaith Evans, India ArieTamia, and Grammy award-winning producer, Gordon Chambers, just to name a few.
