Beyoncé continues to collect awards from the Recording Academy.
Renaissance, the seventh studio album by the music icon, has won Best Dance/Electronic Music Album at the 65th Grammy Awards.
Beyoncé makes history as the first Black woman to win this award, which was introduced at the 47th Grammy Awards in 2005.
It’s also the third consecutive year a Black person has Dance/Electronic Music Album.
Prolific producer and DJ Kaytranada became the first Black artist to win at the 63rd Grammy Awards in 2021. It was for 2019’s Bubba, which had star-studded tracklist that features Masego, VanJess, Durand Bernarr, Tinashe, Kali Uchis and more. He also won Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “10%” on which featured Uchis.
The following year, at the 64th Grammy Awards, South African house music DJ and producer Black Coffee accepted the statuette for Subconsciously.

Additionally, Beyoncé won three other awards, two of which were in the R&B field: Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Plastic Off The Sofa”) and Best R&B Song (“Cuff It“).
She also landed a win for Dance/Electronic Recording for “Break My Soul,” the platinum-selling lead single from Renaissance.
That win, awarded at the premiere ceremony, put Beyoncé in the Grammy history books for becoming the second Black woman and person to have won in four distinct genres: rap, pop, R&B and dance.
Accepting these four Grammys, Beyoncé is now the most-decorated artist, with 32 wins.
She claimed a record last November when the nominations were announced, scoring nine this award season.
Beyoncé and her husband and rap mogul Jay-Z are the most nominated artist of all time, with 88 each.
