The annual Roots Picnic returns to The Mann at Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from June 3-4.
The Roots and Live Nation Urban unveiled the star-studded lineup featuring headliners Ms. Lauryn Hill and Sean “Diddy” Combs. Rapper Lil Uzi Vert and award-winning comedian Dave Chappelle are top on the bill.
Ms. Lauryn Hill will treat attendees to a special 25th-anniversary set of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. She will play the award-winning album live in its entirety.
Diddy will hit the stage for the first time at a Roots Picnic event. The Roots will join him.
He could ask Bryson Tiller and PARTYNEXTDOOR to join his set, as both acts appear on his Love Records singles, “Gotta Move On” and “Sex In The Porsche,” respectively.
Other performers making up the bill include Lucky Daye, Ari Lennox, Syd, dvsn, Kindred the Family Soul, Adam Blackstone and Mary Mary with special guest Coco Jones, Soulquarians Icons Set featuring Isley Brothers and Roy Ayers, and more.
Chappelle will kick off the weekend with a stand-up comedy performance at Wells Fargo Center on Friday, June 2. The Roots will join him.
According to the Roots Picnic website, if anyone is interested in attending the comedy show, “purchase of this ticket does not include access to the Roots Picnic Festival on June 3 & 4.”
