Ronnie Radke Responds to Spiritbox’s Decision to Drop Off Tour by Calling Their Fans “Awful”

Last week, Spiritbox fans were excited to hear that the Canadian alt-metal band had decided to drop off Falling In Reverse’s upcoming summer tour. The news had come days after the band began divesting itself from their commitments, removing all mention of those six dates this coming July from their social media feeds.

Following their announcement, it was pretty much expected that Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke would react poorly by flying off the handle and shitting on anyone or anything that might have had to do with Spiritbox’s decision. Yet earlier today, Radke finally reacted to the whole situation on social media and he mostly kept things civil, instead opting to blame Spiritbox’s fans for the whole thing.

Though Spiritbox hasn’t offered their official reasoning behind why they decided to drop the tour, it’s pretty easy to guess why they did what they did. As a band that’s touted their views on inclusivity and accountability, it was always confusing to fans why they would associate themselves with Falling In Reverse’s vocalist Ronnie Radke and his alleged exploitative actions, violent incidents, and trans-/homophobic comments.

In the weeks that followed, fans took to social media to complain about the tour. Most of the time, they were especially upset at vocalist Courtney LaPlante, who has been vocal about her stance on abuse, consent, and accountability over the years.

This may not be the last we hear from Radke about the Spiritbox situation, but for now it’s a relatively tactful response. Sure, he dunked on some of Spiritbox’s fans, but who knows how things will turn out if those same fans turn their attention and anger directly to Radke himself as a result of his comments.

Regardless, the tour will go on without Spiritbox, as it was also announced earlier today that Our Last Night would be filling in the vacant spot.
