Coco Jones has hit another chart milestone. Her current single, “ICU,” has reached No. 10 on the urban radio chart this week. It marks her first top-ten hit on this radio format.
Jones joins Chris Brown, SZA and Summer Walker as the only R&B-centric acts charting within the top 10 at urban radio at the time of publication.
Excluding radio, Jones’ “ICU” has caught on at Billboard. The Camper-produced track first appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 88 in the week ending April 1; it’s now No. 74.
Additionally, “ICU” scoots to No. 12 and No. 15 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart this week.
With “ICU,” the second single from her 2022 debut EP What I Didn’t Tell You, Jones has booked multiple television appearances.
Most recently, Jones paid visits to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Jennifer Hudson Show.
Noted earlier, “ICU” is taken from What I Didn’t Tell You, released last fall on High Standardz/Def Jam Recordings. The song also appears on What I Didn’t Tell You (Deluxe), which was issued earlier this year.
“What I Didn’t Tell You is all about the stories that happen off camera,” Jones stated. “This project will hopefully share my real-life experiences with my fans and show them that I’m just like them. Sometimes people see me as the characters I play, but these stories are my own script.”
Coming up for Jones is a handful of shows and festivals. She is set to perform two sold-out nights at The Peppermint Club in Los Angeles, California, on April 26 and April 27. Femme It Forward powers both shows.
Afterward, Jones will hit the stage at Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman Festival in Atlanta, Georgia; Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Broccoli City in Washington, D.C.
