The Ton3s release music video for standout single “Lose It” from their album “We Are The Ton3s”

The Grammy-nominated viral R&B/Soul trio formerly known as Anthony Hamilton’s crowd-pleasing backup vocalists The Hamiltones formally re-introduced themselves with their 2022 album “We Are The Ton3s.”

The new music video “Lose It” debuted exclusively via BET Soul on 4/10/23, and is directed by J. Inez.    “Lose It” is the standout track from the album and features Tarriona “Tank” Ball,a member of Tank and the Bangas.

The single “Lose It” is a nice melding of r&b and hip-hop delivered seamlessly by the trio with each of their unique soulful vocals on full display.

The “Lose It” video uses elements from two extremely popular 1960s television shows “The Brady Bunch” sitcom, and “The Dating Game” show as each member of the trio plead desperately for a love interest.

Imagine where black creatives would be today if representation in the media started before it was popular? The ‘Lose It’ music video is a fun upbeat twist to 1960 sitcoms with a sprinkle of black magic for the culture.” – says J. Inez

Youtube fans share their love for the trio, song, and video as one fan writesThis joint is 🔥🔥🔥. The Tones +Tank, what more do you want. Super talented.” “Love love love them! And this song is 🔥. Love Tank too! Been missin my Tones, glad they released new stuff ❤. Super Dope!” writes another. “THE TONES & TANK COMBINATION JUST HITS DIFFERENT!!🎶🔥🔥 SALUTE N.C.!✊🏾.” And we agree with them all.

The Ton3s always produce brilliant melodies, fervent vocal delivery, and stunning harmonies each and every time.

MORE ABOUT THE TON3S:

The Ton3s (fka The Hamiltones) are an anomaly in 2022, as male R&B groups have been virtually extinct for some time now. Composed of North Carolina natives J. VitoTony Lelo, and 2E, the soul trio’s name was originally born from their work as backup vocalists for Grammy-winning R&B/Soul artist Anthony Hamilton. While on tour with Hamilton, dazzling audiences around the world, the trio of singers jokingly sang a gospel rendition of Drake‘s “Hotline Bling” during rehearsal. The recorded footage of their performance was then uploaded to Facebook and amassed over one million views in just under 24 hours. The group went on to make more renditions of popular songs, all of which became internet sensations. Their viral spoof rendition of Birdman’s “Respeck” landed them on Power 105’s The Breakfast Club.
In 2018, the group’s “What I’m Feelin’” collaboration with Anthony Hamilton secured the trio’s first Grammy nomination. That same year, The Ton3s hit the road again with Hamilton, headlined their own dates, and embarked on an international tour with legendary guitarist Ry Cooder. The following year, The Hamiltones were featured on three Grammy-nominated projects, including PJ Morton‘s Gumbo (“Everything’s Gonna Be Alright“); Jonathan McReynold‘s Make Room (“Graduate“); and the winner in the 2019 Best Gospel Album category, Tori Kelly‘s Hiding Place (“Help Us To Love“). The trio has released four projects under the name The Hamiltones: a debut album 1964; a Christmas album; and two “Watch the Ton3s.”
