Dinner Party releases new album, “Enigmatic Society”

Grammy-nominated group Dinner Party has just released their album, “Enigmatic Society.”

The group just released a single from the album a week ago, “For Granted,” featuring Arin Ray. The track “Insane,” featuring Ant Clemons, was in the initial release from the album. The album also has a feature from R&B crooner and superstar, Tank.

The nine-track album has instrumentation and vocal arrangements that create a 90s nostalgia along with a mixture of Neo Soul, Jazz, and Hip Hop. One interesting take from the album is the simplicity of tracks as far as lyrics go. Some tracks are mainly instrumental tracks, with some background ad-libbing or simple vocals, which also contribute to the nostalgic vibes. This is a good album to create or just chill and vibe to, and it is very different from what is being heard in the world of R&B music today. Each track has unique artwork to go along with it as well.

Terrace Martin, 9th Wonder, Robert Glasper, and Kamasi Washington make up the group. Dinner Party is set to perform the next two weekends at Coachella and will be performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, April 17. The group’s Grammy-nominated EP “Dinner Party Dessert” was released in 2020.
