Erykah Badu has her headlining Unfollow Me Tour. She’ll be joined by conscious rapper Yasiin Bey (a.k.a. Mos Def), who will serve as a special guest.
The Unfollow Me Tour kicks off June 11 in San Antonio, Texas, at the AT&T Center. From there, Badu will play various U.S. cities, including Seattle, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta,
The tour concludes at the American Airlines Center on July 23 in Dallas, Texas. Additional guests will be announced soon.
An artist presale is available until Thursday, April 20, at 2:21 p.m. CT. Spotify is giving its users an exclusive presale starting Tuesday, April 18, through Wednesday, April 19. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public this Thursday.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Badu’s third album, Worldwide Underground. The Grammy-nominated album opened at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, giving Badu her third consecutive top ten on the main albums chart.
Worldwide Underground spawned the singles “Danger” and “Back in the Day.” The former track, nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2004, reached No. 28 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
“Back in the Day,” nominated for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, peaked at No. 13 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart in December 2023.
Badu has not released a proper studio album since 2010’s New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh). Instead, she came out with a lauded mixtape, But You Caint Use My Phone, released in 2015. It included the focus track “Phone Down.”
Badu received the Legend Award at the 2018 Soul Train Awards three years later. She performed a career-spanning medley.
More recently, Badu performed at this year’s Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival.
