Ciara has teamed with Jackson Wang for his new sultry new single “Slow.” It was co-produced by DVLP, Luyo and Tristan Hoogland.
On the track, Ciara and Wang sing about taking their time in the bedroom with their respective partners. “Slow the pace, ain’t a race, woah / I’m here all night for love, that’s right / When you please me, pump the breaks / You can take your sweet time / Ease your mind and remember,” Ciara sings.
“The first time I heard the song ‘Slow,’ I knew wanted to be a part of it,” shares Ciara. “I loved the melodies and the catchiness of the song. Jackson’s voice and his energy are infectious, and I am excited to be part of his incredible journey!”
Wang adds, “Collaborating with Ciara was like catching lightning in a bottle. Her energy, passion, and creativity elevated this track to new heights, and her unwavering commitment to excellence inspired us to create something truly magical.”
Wang recently made history at Coachella as the first Chinese solo artist to perform his own set at the popular music festival. During his set, he surprised fans by bringing out Ciara to debut “Slow.”
Ciara’s collaboration with Wang comes just days after releasing her “Da Girls (Girls Mix)” featuring rappers Lola Brooke and Lady London.
“Lola and Lady London are special,” said Ciara. “They each bring a unique star quality to everything they do. From the tone of their voices to the fire verses, they spoke life into this record for all da girls around the world.”
Ciara released the original version (“Da Girls“) in March after teasing it the month prior. “‘Da Girls’ is a female empowerment anthem that celebrates the strength and resiliency of women all over the world,” she explained. “It speaks life into the endless possibilities of a woman on a mission.”
It’s unclear if “Da Girls” will appear on Ciara’s upcoming eighth album.
