The Callous Daoboys Have a New Drummer and They’re Recording Their Third EP

This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill. Frenetic Atlanta-based mathcore septet The Callous Daoboys are not only officially recording their third EP, but they’re doing so with a new drummer. Just about an hour ago the band tweeted a photo of Marty Hague behind the kit during said recording session.

Now, we’ve known since last month that the band was working on material for a new EP and we’ve been silently stoked at the prospect of getting some new tunes from the group. Their latest LP, Celebrity Therapist was easily one of our favorite albums from last year and since its release, they’ve gone on to play some killer shows, including the Knotfest’s Pulse Of The Maggots Official SXSW Showcase with the likes of Creeping Death, Escuela Grind, Miliatrie Gun, Soul Glo, and VCTMS.

As of this moment, there’s no news on when the next EP will be available. That being said, there’s no reason why they won’t break out some new shit during their short run of live shows with Hazing Over next month, which includes a stop at the Bamboozle Festival in Atlantic City.

If you’d like to catch ’em live and see what all the fuss is about, check out the dates below to see if they’ll be hitting a venue near you and grab a ticket.
