Bamboozle Canceled Just Days Before It Was Supposed to Happen

Next weekend was supposed to be a triumphant return to form for Bamboozle at Atlantic City’s Bader Field, but all that got canned at the very last minute after city officials allege the organizer failed submit the paperwork necessary to receive its final permits before the city’s deadline. No permits = no show. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.

Bamboozle hadn’t been active since 2012 and fan excitement was initially at a fever pitch when it was first announced thanks to a lineup stacked with some big names, including Motionless in White, Limb Bizkit, and Bad Omens. Since then, that excitement waned over time, as ticketholders complained that the festival failed to book any major artists as its headliners. They were also pissed when they learned their “early bird” ticket pricing was getting undercut by other offers later on.

According to NJ.com, city officials the festival’s cancellation was all due to a failure to complete their permit application process. In response, organizers posted their own accounting of events on the event’s website, only citing “extensive discussions” having happened prior to the show’s cancellation.

“After extensive discussions, we have made the heartbreaking decision to cancel Bamboozle 2023. An incredible amount of time, dedication, passion and hard work was invested into making this comeback a success. We appreciate everyone who supported this festival. Refunds should be requested at point of purchase.”

Bamboozle was supposed to take place from May 5 to May 7 at Bader Field in Atlantic City. If you had tickets to this festival, be sure you to get your refund as soon as you can.
