Queens of the Stone Age Announce New Album, In Times New Roman, Stream “Emotion Sickness”

After various rumors surrounding a new album, Queens of the Stone Age have officially announced their new record, In Times New Roman…, for a June 16 release via Matador Records. In Times New Roman… is Queens of the Stone Age’s first new album since 2017’s Villains. They’ve also dropped “Emotion Sickness,” the first single from the album. It’s quintessentially Queens of the Stone Age, and is particularly reflective of the sound the band have adopted in their modern era.

Production (by the band) and mixing (by Mark Rankin) for In Times New Roman… took place at frontman Josh Homme‘s Pink Duck Studios.

This is the first new music that Queens of the Stone Age have released since Homme became embroiled in a heated custody battle with his ex-wife, Distillers frontwoman Brody Dalle. The situation has involved accusations of abuse, restraining orders and threats of violence, with Homme most recently making a statement denying the claims.

Check out “Emotion Sickness,” plus the tracklist, cover art and tour dates below.
