Brian Angel of the R&B group Day26 has released a solo track titled “I Wanna See.”
The Yung Lott-assisted track hears Angel singing about his desire to shower his love interest with the finer things in life.
“I wanna see you wit’ a Birkin / I wanna see that you ain’t hurtin’ / Girl, I don’t wanna see you workin’,” Angel sings on the snappy chorus.
Regarding his new single, Angel shares, “When I heard this track, I knew it was it. The whole feeling of it, you know, just feels good. I felt like it was the right record I needed to go with this time around seeing as my fans haven’t heard from me since the Millennium Tour last year.”
“I Wanna See” is the first single from Angel’s upcoming album, I Am Brian Angel. “I was in Atlanta working with my brothers on the new Day26 project when I heard Puff say R&B is dead. I understand where he’s coming from because love, vulnerability, and sensuality doesn’t seem to be at the epicenter of it these days, but I disagree. It’s alive and well,” shares Angel.
He concludes, “I just think it’s time we reintroduce being in love back into the mainstream. My album is crazy! I can’t wait for y’all to hear it!”
As Angel noted above, Day26 is working on a new project following their 15th anniversary. In January, the group released their 2014 EP, The Return, on streaming platforms.
