After a brief hiatus, Jay Rock makes his return with “Eastside”, his brand new single, which now pulls up with its proper music video.
Produced by fellow TDE labelmate Kal Banx, who also assists on the hook, Eastside Johnny reps his hood to the fullest while giving viewers a glimpse of a typical day from around his way.
“We ain’t bool, bitch / Fuck with me, my mood switch, shit,” raps the Watts rapper in the Omar Jones-directed video. “Whip a nigga ass ’til my hand hurt / Pull that yoppa out and see who leg work / Eastside be the Mecca, bitch, don’t ever get it backwards,” he continues during a street brawl, hanging on the corners, and get busy with two chicks in the bedroom.
“Eastside” is the first single off Jay Rock’s long-awaited album, the follow-up to his 2018 standout LP, Redemption. He recently can be found on REASON’s “Back At It Again (Remix)“.
