Ciara is still in her collaborative bag. The Grammy winner has teamed up with Indonesian artist AGNEZ MO for her new single “Get Loose,” produced by Rob Knox.
The experimental club track will please the party crowd, as the two fierce divas declare it’s their only way to have fun on the dance floor: to “get loose.”
Ciara urges people to enjoy themselves and dance at the club rather than sitting in a corner with their phones. “Why you here just to stand up in a section / Shake that thang like you at your reception,” she boasts.
“Having to say this is probably my best work so far is one thing, but the amount of joy this song brings me is on another level,” says AGNEZ MO. “It’s almost spiritual!! Creating fearless and boundless music with people I love is exactly what this journey is all about. AND THEN to be able to share all that with Ciara?? MAGICAL.”
Ciara echoed AGNEZ MO’s sentiments, stating, “I am in awe of Agnez’s creative vision as an artist so when she asked me to be on this song I knew it was going to be fun. I was immediately drawn to the INFECTIOUS energy of this track, it’s in your face from top to bottom. The mission is to get everyone loose, to dance and turn all the way up WITH US!”
To accompany “Get Loose,” AGNEZ MO and Ciara have unveiled an energetic music video directed by Loris Russier.
“Get Loose” is one of many featured appearances by Ciara this year. She previously joined Big Freedia for “$100 Bill” and Jackson Wang for “Slow.”
Ciara also headlined a single, “Da Girls,” released in March. The empowering anthem was updated with alternative mixes with guest stars such as Lola Brooke, Lady London (Girls Mix), and Derrick Milano (R&B Slow Mix).
“Da Girls” is part of Ciara’s upcoming eighth album, which she described as “super R&B” in an interview with Zane Lowe of Apple Music.
Ciara has shared some of the tracks from her upcoming album, including “Better Thangs” featuring Summer Walker and “Jump” with Coast Contra.
The latter is the lead single on the album. It debuted and peaked at No. 4 and No. 12 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart and Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart.
Ciara recently contributed her songwriting talents to Monica’s latest single, “Letters.”
Additionally, Ciara will be portraying the older version of Nettie in the upcoming film adaptation of The Color Purple musical, set to release on Christmas Day (Dec. 25).
