The audio division of Issa Rae’s Hoorae Media will now sign, market, and distribute its artists through the label
Raedio, the audio division of Issa Rae’s Hoorae Media, has announced a multi-year deal with Def Jam Recordings. Def Jam will now help sign, market, and distribute Raedio artists, including publishing, music supervision, music library, podcasts, digital content and events deals.
Rae founded Raedio in 2019 and quickly signed a deal with Atlantic Records, releasing music by the Los Angeles-based Haitian-American singer TeaMarrr and later, Yung Baby Tate. In January 2022, Raedio signed a development deal with Audible to create audio content.
Issa Rae is set to star in the Greta Gerwig’s Barbie when it hits theaters later this month.
