Tune-Yards scored Boots Riley’s new Prime Video series, I’m a Virgo, and, tomorrow (July 14), they’ll release their original soundtrack (via Lakeshore). Hear a new song from the soundtrack album, “Segue From Work to Civilian Life,” below.
When he announced I’m a Virgo back in 2020, Riley said it’s “about a 13-ft tall Black man who lives in Oakland.” The series stars Jharrel Jerome as Cootie, and also features Mike Epps, Carmen Ejogo, Walton Goggins, and others.
Tune-Yards scored Riley’s first feature film, Sorry to Bother You. The band’s most recent studio album, Sketchy, came out in March 2021.
