Trace Austin drops new single “Move” featuring Shantal Vella

Trace Austin’s New Single “Move” feat. Shantal Vella Is a Reggaeton Latin Afrobeats Pop Hit That Makes Everyone Get Up, Dance, and Move!

Dance for me right now/ Turn your bodies down on the dance floor/ hands on me right now/ Girl I’m trying to see you move,” Trace Austin sings in the opening lines of his latest single that he released alongside Shantal Vella. No matter where you are, when this pop, dance track comes on you can’t help but Move.

Inspired by the new wave of reggaeton Latin afro beat music movement that is taking over, the R&B, Pop star released his latest hit with its unique sound because he wanted something that was different from the typical hip hop sound. “I wanted to create something to make me more unique and although I don’t speak Spanish I love the Latin sound,” he says.

This year, the music industry celebrates Black Music Month and 50 years of Black Music. With a versatile music catalog that features hit’s like I Need To See You, My Story, Pretty Like Ricky, Canary Wharf, The Offspring, Imposte, and Place 4 Me – the recording and performing artist proves his love and music appreciation for R&B, Pop, Hip Hop, Latin, and Afrobeats genres of music.

Austin’s roots and love for Black Music started at a young age, growing up as the grandson of The Temptations founding member and singer Ottis Williams.I grew up from the Motown sound and being that my grandfather plays old school R&B, he advised me to do music that would have longevity, not trendy music,” Austin tells ThisIsRnB.com.

Standing in his own success, Austin shares that he has been blessed to have great opportunities this year like performing at The Beverly Hilton for the Restore 15th Annual Gala in front of Eva Marcille, Cynthia Bailey, and Hollywood’s biggest acts.

But the highlights were far from over. What started out as having a character based on his image in the cartoon South Park, coming soon, Austin just wrapped up a feature film project and is set to perform at The Mint LA and many more big venues this summer. Last week, the star played in a film with Christopher Marquette and other A-List stars.

Austin recently appeared in Times Square on a digital billboard and continues to stand under strong spotlights with three projects in the works right now. He’s graced the red carpets of Variety, White Men Can’t Jump premiere, ABC’s Not Dead Yet, and has made several appearances at culturally relevant music events like Coachella.

In a recent social media post on IG, the singer wrote “Big Moves!! I’m on the Billboard in Times Square, thank you to my team who made this happen.” Fans and music critics flooded his comments with accolades. “So proud of you always knew you were going to be a star, you’re so kindhearted and you definitely deserve it wowwww…”. Another fan wrote, Get it! #nycstatus.”
