Hatfield – This Dragon Heart – Daily Dose (Daily Featured Music) – Jammerzine

There is a special kind of energy that takes hold when a drummer becomes a frontman. Hatfield found that shift in 2011, emerging as a solo artist after years serving as the rhythm engine for bands. The intensity of his drumming wasn’t lost, only woven into the DNA of his songwriting.

What followed was a decade-long residency in the trenches. He became the veteran that many have seen but few truly know, logging thousands of hours in the clubs, bars, and private rooms of the American Northeast. It was in that anonymous grind that he anchored a sound defined by percussive acoustic rhythms and a vocal range that doesn’t shy away from the edges, from quiet vulnerability to high octane grit.

2026 marks a new chapter, with Hatfield joining Bigger Beast Records. His first release, “This Dragon Heart”, captures the core of his writing—a powder keg that builds from a quiet, steady tension to a driving, cinematic bang.
