Izzy and the Black Trees have today released their new album titled ‘Kisses to Chaos’. Hailing from the quiet university town of Poznań, Poland, frontwoman Izabela “Izzy” Rekowska and her band have built a reputation for turning emotional turbulence into electrifying alt-rock energy. Since forming in 2018, the group has stormed stages across Europe, won praise from BBC 6 Music, KEXP, NME, and Dork, and earned accolades for their explosive live shows — from Eurosonic (ESNS) to OFF Festival, Liverpool Sound City, and beyond.

Following the acclaimed Revolution Comes in Waves (2022) and the kinetic Go On, Test The System EP (2024), Kisses to Chaos marks a bold new chapter. Recorded through summer and autumn 2024 in the post-industrial city of Łódź, the album mirrors the city’s contrasts — transformation and decay, beauty and grit — through Izzy’s razor-sharp lyricism and the band’s driving, darkly melodic sound. The album was recorded from summer 2024 to early spring 2025.

“There’s something about the music we recorded that reflects the atmosphere of the city,” says Izzy. “It’s a place in flux — and that tension seeps into every song.”

Lyrically, Kisses to Chaos guides listeners through the raw edges of the human experience — confronting inner turmoil, rebellion, and the beauty that can emerge from disorder. With Izzy’s haunting vocals at the center and the band’s signature blend of fuzz-soaked guitars and restless rhythm, this album doesn’t just demand attention — it grips you by the heart and won’t let go.
