After nearly six years, Macklemore makes his return with his third solo album, Ben.
On this time around, the Benjamin Haggerty reflects on his success for the first single “Chant” featuring Tones And I and follows up on the celebratory anthem “Maniac” alongside Windser. Elsewhere, Ben questions loyalty on “Faithful” with NLE Choppa and is fearless for “Heroes” produced by DJ Premier who also provides the hook.
Other tracks include “1984”, “Grime”, “I Need”, and “Tears” with guest appearances from Morray, Collett, Sarah Barthel of Phantogram, Jason Lee Morgan, Livingston, Vic Daggs II, and Charlieonnafriday.
Ben is Macklemore’s first album since 2017’s Gemini. Since then, the Seattle rapper released new music from “Shadow“, “It’s Christmas Time” and “Felt Like Rapping Freestyle” to “Next Year” and his “Trump’s Over Freestyle“.
